As the hope for a better Edo State draws nearer ahead 2024 election in the state, one of the proactive political groups in the state, Young Elites, has assured the people of the state of a better state with the emergence of the Deputy Governor of the state, Comrade Philip Shaibu, as the governor in 2024.

The group while declaring support for the emergence of Comrade Shaibu as Governor of Edo State come 2024 affirmed that the state will be safer and better under his leadership.

The group made a commendable mark educating Edo people on why they should eschew politics of bitterness and focus on freedom for the state.

With the latest postulation of the group as regards the governorship race in Edo State analysts are of the view that Comrade Shaibu remains the candidate to beat by whichever barometer is used to assess the chances of the multitude of aspirants.

In the group’s assessment, Comrade Shaibu stands tall in the pack of aspirants as a result of his record as a former member of the Edo State House of Assembly; former member of the House of Representatives and serving deputy governor of the state.
