$300,000 swindle allegation: Between Chief Orbih, Governor Obaseki and Comrade Shaibu who is lying?

Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has denied knowledge of having discussed with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zonal Vice President, Chief Dan Orbih, that Governor Godwin Obaseki collected $300,000.00 from him to settle issues of the party’s governorship ticket in the 2020 guber poll in the state.

The expository was brought to light when Chief Orbih hosted some of the PDP chieftains in his palatial country home in Ogbonna, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.

Chief Orbih said he challenged the governor in the presence of his deputy and some topshots of the party during a peace parley held in Benin and the Governor denied making any such demand from anyone.

The opportunity to get Comrade Shaibu’s side of the story came when he came to the Benin Palace to felicitate with the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare 11 on the 2022 Igue Festival.

As Popular News cornered him on his way out of the magnificent Palace ground, Comrade Shaibu flatly denied, saying: “I know nothing of such a thing. I am not aware of anything like that.”

Now, the question is: between Chief Dan Orbih, Governor Godwin Obaseki and Comrade Philip Shaibu who is lying on this issue?
