2023: Ogoni women pray for Amaechi

Women from the four Ogoni speaking local government areas in Rivers State have declared support for the Presidential ambition of the Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

The women under the auspices of Ogoni Mothers Forum declared their support during Palm Sunday and Holy Blasting in Thanksgiving Service held at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Bera, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The women also interceded in prayer for the unconditional release of kidnap victims of Abuja – Kaduna train attack while a minute silence was observed for Nigerians who lost their lives during the attack.

Speaking on behalf of Ogoni Mothers Forum, Coordinator of the group, Mrs Lynder Nwibani, asserted that Ogoni women are firmly behind the aspiration of the honourable Minister for Transportation, describing him as avatar and a blessing to the Ogoni people.

According to her, “we are delighted about the news of the presidential declaration of the honourable minister who is eminently qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari. We are not just delighted about Amaechi’s declaration but we are solidly behind him in prayers because he is our beacon of hope and his aspiration is our success too”

In her remarks, wife of the Minister and founder of the Empowernent Suport Initiative(ESI), Dame Judith Amaechi, assured that Nigeria’s Presidency under her husband will restore hopes and aspirations of Nigerians, adding that Amaechi’s candidacy remains a tonic for national unity, cultural diversity, even development and equal opportunities for all Nigerians.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, for the enormous support given to her husband to prove his worth and competence in his area of influence.

She added that the minister has demonstrated ability to drive Nigeria to its glory land as evident in the revolution in the transportation sector especially in the nation’s rail and maritime systems.
