2023: Niger Deltans await Tompolo’s endorsement of Goodluck Jonathan, ex-agitator reveals

Ex-Niger Delta agitator, Comrade Abiodun Peter Edah has stated that if the Coordinator of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) gives the go-ahead to his loyalists to give ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan their backing in his bid to return to office he will get the massive support he deserves to scale through in 2023.

He stated that in his first reign as President, Jonathan’s truthfulness and his drive to ensure that all Nigerians benefit from his governance stood him in good stead for a recommendation to be called back to continue from where he stopped.

Edah was of the view that the call on Jonathan to join the 2023 Presidential race was not a deceit but a genuine feeling that is being expressed about his ability to take Nigerians to the promised land.

“During his six years tenure as President of Nigeria, the impact of Goodluck Jonathan’s governance was felt all over the length and breadth of the country.

“He ensured that he cited life impacting projects in all parts of the country irrespective of the tribe or the religion of the people in such communities. Those past deeds are what he is being recognised for today.”

Edah recalled that in 2015 he had to step down from his position as an aide of the then governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to join the campaign team of the then President, Goodluck Jonathan knowing the calibre of person he is.
