150 Ogun CDA officials for community development course

Over 150 Community Development Association (CDA) officials and residents at Araromi and Matogun environs in Ogun State are to attend a leadership course on community development on May 6.

The training, to be coordinated by the Igba Otun Area Community Development Council headed by Alhaji Musa Salina Olusanya, would take place at the Universal Christ Gospel Church Inc, 36 Majekodunmi Street Off Matogbun-Okearo Road Ishaga Bus Stop.

A statement signed by Dr. Ajibola Abayomi, the Media Adviser of the Committee in charge of training, stated that the expectation of the training was geared towards educating community leaders on strategies to achieving growth in collaborations with their members.

“This training would center on strategies to achieving millennium sustainable goals because self help is the surest help in unism. The task of community development rests on the shoulders of all us as government is no longer in a position to do everything,” he said.

Topical presentations during the course are: Crisis Resolution and Management to be anchored by Rev. Dr. J .B. Adesola.

Others are: Different Approaches in Community Programmes; Effective Reporting System for Executives of Community Development Association and Roles and Responsibilities of Community Leaders and Know Your Office Rightly Defined to be delivered respectively by Mr. Opeolu Owosanya JP, Deacon M. O. Olapade and Alhaji S.O. Musa.
